BREAKING & ENTERING - WEEK 24

Image
It's getting mighty toasty here in Tennessee! Almost 100⁰ and 80% humidity some days. But the heat is great, I love it. Highlights of the week: having 10pm cereal parties with the district, printing off 100+ new pictures and putting them up on my wall, playing a dozen or more 4 on 4 basketball games with the elders, and teaching lots of spirit filled lessons :)) Plus breaking into 2 houses. Last Wednesday we played volleyball at the parthenon sand courts with our district and the AP's! Then we went on a walk around Centennial Park and it randomly started dumping rain. Within a few minutes it had looked like we all showered haha.  Hermana Petersen and I went to Pete's house Thursday morning and had such an incredible lesson with him and his roommate Ethan! We've started doing Book of Mormon studies with them every day, sending chapters and questions, then having a little discussion about the things we learned. Pete and Ethan are getting so hyped about the Book of Mormo...

NERF WAR - WEEK 23

Time has never moved this fast in my life! I blink and another week has gone by. Last p day was so fun!! It was pouring rain all day so of course we decided to go play outside with the elders and a bunch of missionaries from our zone. We played football, soccer, and ultimate frisbee at a stadium near Belle Meade. Only got body slammed so hard I landed on my back one time (thx Elder Gee). We all took off our shoes and the field was like a giant puddle or a slip and slide haha. In the words of the YSA elders, "get splashy." Played some basketball at the church afterward even though we were all still soaked. Also got my first dose of the covid vaccine that day!  Had a lesson with Anthony and Amanda that night and talked about how much they want to be baptized but are waiting for the right time! They're gold. We had more lessons on Thursday and started teaching our friend Mathius who is super excited to find more purpose and joy in his life and come to church with us! Institu...

Goat Yoga - WEEK 22

Image
If you've never done goat yoga, I'd highly recommend it. It's just like regular yoga, but the twist is that baby goats hop on you the entire time. It was the greatest thing I've ever experienced and the goats are SO CUTE!! We'd be planking or bent over and a goat would just hop from person to person. They make the most adorable noises too (blehehehe right in your ear) and even bite your hair sometimes. Long story short: I'm obsessed with goat yoga :)  Also got to do a bunch of longboarding this week which was DOPE and I miss it so much. We met some friends at the parthenon who let us ride their longboards around the park. Seth from the ward brought his boards to dinner one night too and let us borrow them!  Made more than 100 cookies last week for a ward service activity! We put a few in each bagged lunch and delivered them to a bunch of people in need! After the activity we taught the Plan of Salvation to this super sweet girl named Cat who's atheist but ...
