Unceasing miracles - WEEK 17

God was so intentional this week with everything that happened, and each and every person He placed into our lives. More hugs. So many amazing conversations. So much growth. Thankful to be a missionary. I know that God is so aware of each and every one of His children and their circumstances. He will always grant us strength beyond our own!  I also gained a testimony this week that God gives us trials not only so we can grow closer to Him and gain experience, but also so we can relate to others, empathize with them, and comfort like the Savior does. Certain hardships allow us to look outward and help God's children in unimaginable ways! I'm so thankful for trials and the opportunity we have to "bear one another’s burdens, that they may be light… and mourn with those that mourn; yea, and comfort those that stand in need of comfort." (Mosiah 18:8-9) If we look to Him in all things and turn outward amidst our struggles, He promises "this too shall pass."  P d...

3 Baptisms! - WEEK 15

I think each week I spend out on my mission becomes my new favorite haha. This one really reminded me of why I'm here and why I've chosen to serve. I've been so humbled and remembered how important this work is and how it's my joy! Also shed quite a few tears of joy over the last several days :,)  We did most of our finding this week in person! The YSA elders, Sister Pocock, and I went downtown and around to the college campuses and met dozens of new people! Back home, I probably would've been kinda scared to randomly walk up to someone and start talking to them about the gospel, but there's something about wearing this missionary tag that makes it so fun and awesome!! :))  We got a new elder in the YSA ward! His name is Elder Gee and he's also from Washington. Th...

HAPPY APRIL!! It has been so warm and beautiful this week! Sister Pocock and I have been going on runs outside and doing a lot of our missionary work and lessons in the park by our apartment. Also went on a bunch of drives out south! Tennessee is absolutely gorgeous.  We taught Adam several times this week and he's stoked to be baptized this Saturday! He has changed so much since the first time we talked with him and seems so much happier. He told us the other day that just by being his friend, teaching him about Jesus Christ, and helping him find the church, we've changed the course of his life forever, and we're offering him "the best therapy" he's ever gotten. Something else Adam said was "the gift you have to give- the knowledge of Jesus Christ's restored gospel is priceless and that's why you offer it to me freely." I am so thankful for this church and for the lives I've seen it change. It has changed me and continues to change me ...
