Faith, Farm & Fireflies - WEEK 21

Image
Hey hey! A realization I had this week is that even though the pandemic has altered all of our lives and caused so much heartache, an immense amount of good has come out of it as well. For example, a lot more people are turning to Christ to find refuge in their storms of life, which has provided them with peace beyond measure! Also, I wouldn't be here reassigned in Nashville, Tennessee if it weren't for covid. I never would've met all these new best friends of mine and the wonderful people we teach every week :,)) So I'm thankful for trials and how they can lead us to new paths, greater heights, and God's joyful plan for each one of us!  I finished filling up my second journal a few days ago and I'm running out of things to write in haha. Last Wednesday we had dinner with Jordan, Elder Hart, and Elder Gee at Sushi Train again this week since it's our tradition at the start of every transfer! We ended talking about eternal families and answered prayers and ...

Rice squishbies – WEEK 20

Out of my short 19 years of life, I think this week was one of my very favorites. I've also never been more busy in my entire life and every day was nonstop WORK. We had so many lessons back to back and almost never a moment to even catch a breath or eat but it brought us so much JOY!! Training a new missionary has also helped me discover so much more about myself and my strengths and abilities! Hermana Petersen is such a great companion and she's thriving in her training so far! God's work is our joy! So thankful to be a missionary :))) Also- week 20 already?? Wow! Time flies!  Spent more time outside enjoying the sunshine and working in the park and by the pool!! On Thursday we did a lot of street contacting and went to the Green Hills mall with the elders. Found so many new people to teach! We even went into this super fancy watch store and talked to all the salesmen for more than an hour. Got all of their numbers and scheduled times we could meet with them again. Al...

Hermana twin towers - WEEK 19

I'm so in love with Tennessee's beautiful landscapes and the rolling green hills. I could definitely see myself moving back here after the mission! My whole heart is right here!  Last week we celebrated our last P day all together by having a big breakfast at the Harpeth sisters' apartment! Threw some more confetti eggs at each other. Then we all went to the mission office for transfers! Got to see a bunch of old friends like Elder Thomason who's serving in Tullahoma. Said goodbye to Sister Pocock, Elder Wilstead, Hermana Higley, and Elder & Sister Griffin :(( Then we went to the chapel to meet our trainees! The wonderful sister missionary I'm training this transfer is Hermana Petersen!! She's from Utah and is such a sweetheart. She's also almost as tall as me! So we walk around meeting people and all they can say is "wow you're both really tall!" Or "twin towers coming through!" Love it. She's such a good missionary already...
